Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment: Faith Walk Genealogy is committed to providing a welcoming website and making its information, services, forms, and communications accessible to people with disabilities. We work to identify, prevent, and address barriers so visitors can obtain information and contact us as independently and effectively as reasonably possible.

2. Accessibility Standard and Current Status: Faith Walk Genealogy website is tested toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. WCAG is an international technical standard for making web content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. This statement does not claim complete or certified conformance. Accessibility can vary by page, content, device, browser, assistive technology, and third-party feature.

DESIGN AND TESTING TARGET WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the website's design and testing target. A target is not a guarantee that every feature will work perfectly for every person, device, or assistive technology.

3. Accessibility Measures: As the website is built, reviewed, and maintained, Faith Walk Genealogy intends to use measures such as:

  • A logical page structure with meaningful headings, landmarks, page titles, and descriptive links.

  • Keyboard access, visible focus indicators, and navigation that does not require a mouse.

  • Readable text and sufficient contrast, without relying on color alone to communicate meaning.

  • Responsive pages that support browser zoom, text enlargement, and reflow on different screen sizes.

  • Alternative text for meaningful images and appropriate treatment of decorative images.

  • Captions, transcripts, or another accessible alternative when audio or video conveys important information.

  • Forms with programmatic labels, clear instructions, understandable error messages, and accessible confirmation notices.

  • Controls and links with usable target sizes, consistent labels, and an understandable focus order.

  • Plain-language content where appropriate and clear identification of required information.

  • Accessible alternatives for important downloadable documents when a document cannot be made fully accessible.

4. Third-Party Services and Content: The website is hosted on Wix and may use Wix Forms, Wix Bookings, Zoom, a payment processor, analytics, cookies, email-marketing tools, embedded media, social-media links, or other third-party services. Faith Walk Genealogy does not control every aspect of those providers' platforms, accessibility features, or updates. We evaluate the third-party features selected for launch and configure available accessibility settings. If a third-party feature creates a barrier, please contact us. We will make a reasonable effort to provide the same information or service through an accessible alternative while the issue is investigated.

5. Ongoing Review: Accessibility is an ongoing process. Review may include automated checks, keyboard testing, zoom and reflow testing, form testing, color-contrast review, and manual evaluation with assistive-technology considerations. Automated tools can help identify some issues but cannot establish that a website is fully accessible. Manual review and feedback from people using the website remain important parts of the process.

6. Requesting Assistance or Another Format: If you have difficulty accessing website content, using a form, scheduling a consultation, or obtaining a document, Faith Walk Genealogy welcomes the opportunity to help. You may request the information or service through another reasonably accessible method or format.

Please email admin@faithwalkgenealogy.com with the subject line "Accessibility Assistance."

When possible, include:

  • The webpage, feature, form, or document involved.

  • A brief description of the barrier or the information you need.

  • The format or communication method that would help, if known.

  • Your preferred way for us to respond.

Information about your disability or assistive technology is optional and should be shared only if you believe it will help us respond. Do not send passwords, raw DNA files, DNA-match identities, case files, or other sensitive research information with an accessibility request.

7. Response and Remediation: Faith Walk Genealogy will review accessibility reports and requests in good faith. We will try to provide prompt assistance, investigate the reported barrier, and make a reasonable correction or accessible alternative when appropriate. Some corrections may depend on a third-party provider or may require additional time. When an immediate technical correction is not available, we will try to offer another reasonable way to access the same information or service.

8. Scope of This Statement: This statement applies to the public Faith Walk Genealogy website and the public-facing features selected for launch. Separate client, pro bono, agency, and forensic engagements may involve additional communication or document-format needs addressed through the applicable agreement or agency requirements. Submitting an accessibility request does not create a client relationship, authorize genealogical or DNA research, or require the requester to disclose sensitive case information.

9. Updates to This Statement: Faith Walk Genealogy may update this statement to reflect website changes, accessibility testing, feedback, third-party services, professional practices, or applicable law. The revised statement will show a new Last Updated date.

10. Contact Faith Walk Genealogy: Accessibility questions, barrier reports, and requests for information in another format may be directed to Faith Walk Genealogy, Rusk County, Texas.
